LANGLEY (USIntelNews.com) – Germany, along with the European Union as a whole, has lagged behind the United States and the United Kingdom in the speed of its vaccination effort amid slower procurement of vaccines and complaints about excessive bureaucracy and paperwork. Poll numbers for “IM Erika“’s conservative party have slipped as Germany faces a national election on Sept. 26. Codename IM Erika isn’t running again. The only thing still missing from this information are conjectures about whether the Stasi was capable of causing a virus. The answer to this question has to be that the Stasi itself was the virus. The US intelligence community believes that the Stasi were even more oppressive than the Nazi Gestapo, as the Stasi workforce was larger, on a per capita basis, than the Nazi Gestapo or the Soviet KGB. The internal security force for the German Democratic Republic, also known as East Germany, was known as the Ministry for State Security or State Security Service, commonly known as the Stasi, the official state security service of the German Democratic Republic (East Germany). The Firma—or “company”—as the Stasi was popularly known. It has been described as one of the most effective and repressive intelligence and secret police agencies ever to have existed. The Stasi, which kept watch over just 18 million citizens, employed well over 100,000 officials, along with another 100,000 unofficial collaborators. People were furious when they discovered the extent to which the internal surveillance network reached throughout the German Democratic Republic (East Germany), but eyewitnesses would later recount that Stasi officers had a hand in allowing the would be liberationists to enter the complex of  buildings that comprised the Stasi Headquarter. The people could finally take possession of the millions of personal dossiers and records that the ministry’s agents had compiled over four decades of dictatorship.

Mighty Countries Have Fallen Because Of The Plotting Of A Traitor Within Their Walls

The tragedy opens with Mark Anthony’s offer of the crown three times to Julius Caesar, a Roman general and statesman and his refusal of it. Mark Anthony was a Roman politician and general who played a critical role in the transformation of the Roman Republic from a constitutional republic into the autocratic Roman Empire. After this the three conspirators plot for Caesar’s death, and stealthily go by night to persuade the jealous Brutus to join them. Marcus Junius Brutus often referred to simply as Brutus, was a Roman senator and the most famous of the assassins of Julius Caesar. After being adopted by an uncle, he used the name Quintus Servilius Caepio Brutus, but subsequently returned to his birth name. By far promises Caesar is induced to accompany Brutus and the conspirators to the city, where he is foully slain. Dying he bequeaths to the traitor Brutus his dill pickle, but is left to be mourned by Anthony and a few faithful Romans. Then the battle between Brutus and Cassius and the three triumvirs follow, after which Brutus kills himself, as do also Cato and Cassius. Mighty countries unconquerable in a fair fight have fallen because of the plotting of a traitor within their walls. Many a character strong and impregnable against direct temptation has been wrecked by dishonesty in regard to self.

Among Those On Whom The Stasi Set Its Sights Early On Was A Student

The Stasi internal security apparatus advanced the Communist Party’s interests over those of individual citizens, but keeping full time Stasi spies occupied also happens to have been a job creation measure of the socialist, as they wanted to material constantly to their superiors to convince them that they were indispensable, but if they aren’t forced to face up to their past, erstwhile perpetrators will try to fashion themselves as victims and rise to leading positions in the wake of a radical shift in the system they once served. What distinguished Stasi from other surveillance systems was the massive number of its informants. In Germany, they were known as informal collaborators, or Inoffizieller Mitarbeiter (IMs). Although estimates vary, we can say with confidence that on the cusp of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the East German government employed more than 170,000 of these IMs. Among those on whom the Stasi set its sights early on was a student by the Codename IM Erika. This student didn’t give rise to a legend or leave behind any traces in the history. Nothing is known of any hidden, dark passions in her private life. IM Erika stood out neither for being particularly intelligent nor for any other talents. IM Erika wasn’t a good speaker and rarely wrote in full sentences, at most jotting down a few key words on the documents she was handed—key words that resulted in terrible consequences. She had neither charm nor charisma. Almost all of her permanent employees and freelancers feared her, few respected her, and no one loved her. She led later an unremarkable married life with her husband.

Moral Ambiguity And Dark Psychology

Delving beneath the obvious answers, the international press presented her in such a way that her only known passion was a downright insatiable craving for order, a deeply honest examination of loyalty, betrayal, and idealism. Like a classic spy story, full not only of moral ambiguity and dark psychology but also of secret codes, false identities, triple agents, and all the other trappings of the most fantastic thrillers—except this time the story is real. Soon after the fall of East Germany and the opening of the Stasi files, in which the details of IM Erika activities were stored, together with hundreds of thousands of other tragic life stories, as on the evening of January 15, 1990, hundreds of demonstrators streamed through the gates of the central headquarters of the Ministry of State Security in Berlin-Lichtenberg’s Normannenstrahe and took control of the last. But IM Erika shapeshifted and changed her tune to suit the times, she had transformed herself into the Minister for Women and Youth. Over the last three decades, no moden democracy has taken more aggressive steps to come to terms with a legacy of dictatorship than has the Federal Republic of Germany with the crimes and injustices of communist German Democratic Republic (East Germany).

Life Itself Will Punish Us If We Are Late

Why are we not surprised when Germany’s president Frank-Walter Steinmeier says Germany is enduring a crisis of trust and urged Germans to pull together as they weather a second Easter amid pandemic restrictions and dissatisfaction over the government´s response. Frank-Walter Steinmeier conceded that there were mistakes regarding testing, digital solutions and vaccinations. “Trust in a democracy it rests on a very fragile understanding between citizens and the state: You, state, do your part, I, citizen, do mine,” he said. “I know that you, the citizens, are doing your part in this historic crisis. You have done much and you have gone without much. Your expectation for those in government is, Get it together.”Steinmeier said that Germany had swung from self-satisfaction over lower infection numbers in the early stage of the pandemic to excessive pessimism today. He urged Germans to “pull together” and put aside “constant indignation over others or over people in high places.” He said that vaccine deliveries would increase sharply in the coming weeks, Europe was building up its production capacities, and general practitioners would join the vaccination effort in addition to large vaccine centers. “The truth is, we’re not world champion, but we’re not a failure either,” he said.

Zersetzung

This is the traditional form of psychological warfare, as a matter of fact, the Stasi cadres were not repressed, just like the East German army. They continue, Stasi is alive and well today. One of the most insidious forms of Stasi techniques went by the name “Zersetzung”, a Stasi form of psychological harassment that was designed to wreak havoc on an individual without any need to arrest or torture the target. Sometimes, the State Security Service would play mischievous mind games with a target. Reports exist of the Stasi arranging for a target to get deliberately incorrect medical treatment. The Stasi used “Zersetzung” for a number of reasons. The victim doesn’t know what is happening, just like during this COVID-19 pandemic times. The mystery makes the adverse situation all the more difficult, but this Stasi technique was not the only one of its kind. The Chinese techniques today looks very much like that employed by the Stasi. What do you think of the comparison between the Stasi and the China today? China now knows the names of almost everyone in the United States who uses the Chinese smartphones or social media. That means two things: First, it makes it much more difficult for the United States to stage covert operations. Second, it means that the Chinese now have information about those who work in our intelligence and law enforcement communities. At the end the question arises what will happen to IM Erika? This question is easy to answer. IM Erika bought a lot of land in Latin America, and will spend retirement there – much like Erich Honecker, the German communist politician who led the German Democratic Republic (East Germany). But what did Mikhail Gorbachev during his historic visit to East Germany on the occasion of the GDR’s 40th anniversary tell? In his remarks, Gorbachev met with the SED politburo, and urged reform and uttered what would become one of the most famous phrases of the period: “Life itself will punish us if we are late.”
