Like every website, our web server briefly records technical data needed to deliver pages and keep the service secure: the IP address, the time, the page requested and the browser type. These logs are used only for security and are deleted automatically.
When you press “Play briefing” or “Listen”, the text of the briefing (never anything about you) is sent through our server to a voice service that turns it into speech. We keep no recording of it.
The Watch grid shows maps from Google. When you open a page with a map, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
If you install the U.S. Intelligence News app, your device stores copies of pages for offline reading. This stays on your device; you can remove it by uninstalling the app.
Reports link to the official sources they are based on, and network cards link to other websites. Their own privacy policies apply there.
