National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan met today with Tomas Pojar, National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic. They expressed their strong commitment to continuing to support Ukraine politically, militarily, and economically as it defends itself against Russian aggression. They also underscored their continued readiness to impose costs on Russia for its actions. They welcomed the deepening defense cooperation between the United States and the Czech Republic, including through the development of a U.S.-Czech Defense Cooperation Agreement. In addition, they discussed energy security, the Indo-Pacific, and the Czech Republic’s presidency of the Council of the European Union.
