National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan met with Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr al-Busaidi today to reaffirm our close partnership with Oman and to discuss regional security matters. Mr. Sullivan underscored the enduring U.S. commitment to promoting security, economic prosperity, and stability in the Gulf region. He also thanked Oman for its commitment to securing a new truce agreement and launching a Yemeni political process. Both sides addressed ways to further enhance cooperation through the newly launched U.S.-Oman Strategic Dialogue, which will tackle a range of issues, from trade and investment to cultural exchanges and the climate crisis.
