Germany’s Justice Minister Expects ICC to Enforce Arrest of Vladimir Putin
LANGLEY (USIntelNews.com) –
Germany has announced that Vladimir Putin would face arrest if he sets foot on German soil. The ICC is expected to promptly liaise with Interpol in this regard. German Federal Minister of Justice Marco Bushman calls for the International Criminal Court (ICC) to seek the assistance of Interpol and States Parties in the enforcement of an arrest warrant for President Putin. If Putin enters German territory, Germany is obliged to detain and surrender him to the ICC. “I anticipate the ICC to promptly engage with Interpol and the States Parties, requesting their cooperation for enforcement. In such a scenario, Germany would be obliged to apprehend President Putin upon his entry into German territory and surrender him to the ICC,” stated Marco Buschmann, the German Federal Minister of Justice.
