Antony J. Blinken, Secretary of State
On behalf of the people and the Government of the United States of America, I warmly congratulate the people of Dominica as you celebrate your 44th year of independence on November 3.
Our shared commitment to democracy and a secure and prosperous Caribbean has guided our friendship over the years. The United States greatly appreciates Dominica’s cooperation on regional security issues, including combating drugs and weapons trafficking.
Dominica is one of the world’s most vulnerable countries due to the climate crisis, and the United States is committed to bolstering our cooperation to support climate adaptation and resilience and strengthening energy security with the urgency these challenges demand, through the U.S.-Caribbean Partnership to Address the Climate Crisis 2030 (PACC 2030).
On behalf of the American people, I extend my best wishes to all the people of Dominica on this special occasion.
