Assistant to the President for Homeland Security Dr. Liz Sherwood-Randall met yesterday with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of Ghana at the United Nations to discuss ongoing efforts to counter the spread of terrorism across Africa, following their participation in UN Security Council’s High Level Debate on the same topic chaired by President Akufo-Addo. President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Sherwood-Randall welcomed the opportunity to continue discussions about deepening the U.S.-Ghana partnership at the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit hosted by President Biden in Washington D.C. next month.
