National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan met today with Norwegian Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt. They expressed their concern over Russia’s recent missile strikes in Ukraine and the Kremlin’s illegitimate attempts to annex Ukrainian territory. They discussed their continued commitment to hold Russia accountable for its actions and provide Ukraine with security assistance to defend itself, as well as the importance of protecting critical energy infrastructure and ensuring energy security in Europe. In addition, they compared views on regional security issues in the Middle East and South America.
